Glen Ellen

Glen Ellen is a charming small community centered in Sonoma Valley’s wine country just minutes from the town of Sonoma.  Glen Ellen provides it’s own abundance of history, wineries, first class restaurants and outdoor activities.

Pickup lunch at Glen Ellen Market and take it to Jack London State Park and museum to take in and appreciate the history of writer, Jack London and his wife Charmian, who lived in Glen Ellen from 1909 until his death in 1916.   Continue onto the Quarry Hill Botanical Gardens, to appreciate the Asian botanical gardens which is one of the largest collections of documented, wild-collected Asian plants in the world. Then onto Oak Hill Farms, 700 acres of  protected wildlands that has grown flowers and produce in this area for over 50 years. If you have time along the way and wish to do some wine tasting, drop into some of Glen Ellen’s top wineries.
